About Foundations in Math

Hi, I’m Teacher Keone!

I started Foundations in Math because I love helping students feel confident in math.

Back in 2017, a homeschool parent asked me to tutor their son—and he’s still learning with me today! Since then, I’ve worked with many students from Grades 7 to 12, focusing on making math feel clear, manageable, and even enjoyable.

I’m a graduate of Industrial Engineering and used to teach as a university assistant professor. Over time, I discovered that teaching as my true calling. Whether it's in a classroom or one-on-one, I’m most fulfilled when I get to help students grow and succeed in math.

When the pandemic began in 2020, I moved fully online and found new ways to connect with even more students and families.
